Ankan has over 3 years of experience as an academic counselor, working closely with students to build thoughtful academic and extracurricular profiles for competitive university admissions. During this time, he has supported students in gaining admission to leading institutions such as Stanford, Cornell, UPenn, Carnegie Mellon, NYU, Georgia Tech, Purdue, and UIUC.

Beyond the traditional admissions pathway, Ankan has guided students in building ambitious and original projects—ranging from writing and publishing their own books to launching social enterprises and profitable ventures that have gone on to receive independent funding.

Ankan’s academic background is in Economics and Development Studies, and he has also worked as a researcher with experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods. This analytical foundation allows him to help students think critically about their interests, structure their work rigorously, and communicate their ideas clearly in applications.

Outside of counseling, Ankan is deeply interested in filmmaking and proudly watches far more films than reels. He is also an avid cricket enthusiast, especially when the match goes down to the last ball.
