Rising Tennis Star Makes Historic Commitment
From crushing it on the tennis courts of India 🎾 to landing a full ride at one of America’s top tennis programs, Kriish Tyagi’s journey is the kind of story that gives us goosebumps. Our entire AddedEducation family is excited to watch this incredible young athlete take his talents to Texas A&M.
Kriish Tyagi, currently ranked #51 in the ITF World Junior Rankings and India’s top junior player, has committed to Texas A&M University’s elite tennis program. This commitment comes with a 100% scholarship, marking a significant milestone in Indian tennis.
“We are very excited to have signed Kriish Tyagi. He has been the No. 1 player from India throughout all of his age groups. I know he is a winner,” says Steve Denton, Head Coach at Texas A&M University and former U.S. Open Doubles Champion, who leads one of the most respected coaching staffs in collegiate tennis alongside Associate Head Coach Kevin O’Shea and Assistant Coach Barnaby Smith.
Texas A&M’s tennis program, ranked among the top 10 in America, has produced notable alumni including:
- Arthur Rinderknech, currently ranked #42 on the ATP tour
- Austin Krajicek, current World #1 in doubles
- Valentin Vacherot, ATP singles ranking of world No. 110
