One decision. Eight Ivy League universities. Thousands of hopeful students.
Ivy Day is one of the most anticipated moments in the college admissions process—the day when students worldwide receive their decisions from the prestigious Ivy League schools.
When Was Ivy Day 2025?
Ivy Day 2025 fell on March 27, Thursday, with decisions released at 7 PM EST. This meant high emotions, slow-loading admissions portals, and, most importantly, clarity on the next steps—whether you received an acceptance, a waitlist decision, or a rejection.

But What If…?
You’re Accepted: Congratulations! Celebrate, and take time to think over your options. The deposit deadline is usually May 1.
You’re Waitlisted: It’s not over yet. Show your interest by submitting a Letter of Continued Interest (LOCI). Make sure you show the admissions officers why that university is still your top choice! You should also highlight any updates since your application and share your future plans. Remember, it’s about showing your passion. And why you’re the right fit for the university!
You’re Not Accepted: Rejections are tough, and it’s okay to take time to process them. But remember—getting into an Ivy League school isn’t the only path to success. Plenty of incredible universities offer amazing opportunities—it’s really about making the most of the resources you have.
