Stephanie, a top-ranked Junior Golfer in Hong Kong was 14, when we first met 4 years ago, in November 2016. A good student with a passion for science and engineering, the College Golf route seemed like a great way to leverage her passion and success in golf for admission into a top-20 US University. With that, we began working towards her dream.

It has taken us 7 years to get here, but we certainly got here and delivered beyond our wildest dreams! Finally, AddedSport, the company we have built from ground up, has it’s first Stanford University double admission. 2 students from AddedSport have received admission in the Early Action (EA) period to Stanford University for the Class of 2025! It’s a big moment for our company, and each one of our counselors had a critical role to play in the success of these 2 brilliant students!

When I spoke to Anirudh for the first time, I saw a taciturn, matter-of-fact academically-oriented young man who had his heart set on studying engineering at a top university in the world. He had good grades, a 1500 SAT score, and was passionate about (surprise!) science and math. What came out as I got to know him better, however, was the story of a young man who had grown up watching his dad tinker in his workshop, a man who had inspired a love of machinery and mechanics that led Anirudh to asking his own questions about how things worked.

I remember September 2018 like it was yesterday! She told me that she wanted to go to a top ranked academic college, but dare not dream of the Ivy League — because, of course, it was too tough getting there! That’s when we started the journey with our now-Dartmouth-bound student, Kyla Widodo. It’s been a little over 2 years, and now it has come to an end. An ending that is the true culmination of passion, labor, hard-work, commitment and belief!
