Based in Singapore with operations across the globe, we are a team of young like-minded people united by a single mission: to support and promote sporting and academic excellence. Currently under the AddedEducation brand, our business needs are focused on US, UK and Canada university admissions services, boarding school preparatory services and pre-high school development services. 

Responsibilities:

1. As an independent Writing Specialist on some key engagements,
  • Brainstorm with clients, using exercises that help build upon their writing skills. These exercises would be aimed at developing critical thinking and active engagement with materials rather than simple comprehension, to write impactful and powerful admission essays and personal statements.
  • Editing and proofreading essay questions and personal essays on students’ applications, check the quality of work, grammar, structure, logic, syntax and vocabulary and edit where necessary.
  • Consulting and guiding the students to find better ways of expression, depending on the requirement, help them develop/ improve their writing skills.
  • Understand their writing styles to enhance their skills as a writer.
  • Help them tap into their own intellect and experiences to bring about the most in their writing.
  • Create plans, goal sheets with the clients and identify turnaround time.
  • Collaborate with team members for other initiatives related to content development & writing.
  • 2. Lead and manage the team of Writing Specialists across different regions to ensure that the quality of work and productivity is optimized.
    3. Create and manage the writing team’s work processes and work flow management.
    4. Guide the team and help resolve any problems, conflicts pertaining to client work and essays.
    5. Lead and conduct monthly reviews with the team and along with individual team members to set objectives and identify gaps in client engagement.

    Required Skills and Educational Qualifications:

  • Prefer a writing specialist who has graduated from a Top 10 US Universities or Top 5 Liberal Arts Colleges in the US or has shown exemplary writing and editing capabilities.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience. Previous experience of managing a team is preferred.
  • A professional writer and editor who can review essays to support impactful and powerful admission essays and personal statements.
  • Quality work, grammar, structure, logic, syntax, and vocabulary are of extreme importance in this task.
