Akshay Maliwal
Founder & CEO AddedEducation
Akshay is Indian-heritage, Singapore-raised. Recruited to UC Berkeley on an athletic scholarship (golf) with a double Major in Economics and Political Science. He started his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Credit Suisse in Singapore. He later founded AddedEducation in November 2014 as a specialized University admissions consulting firm helping students develop an “edge” in their application process, by leveraging their sporting talent and Academic talent.

Born and raised in South Africa, I developed a passion for rugby and education early on. After completing my degree, I began helping South African students pursue their dreams of studying in the US.I moved to Hong Kong to advance my rugby career and work as an English teacher. Eventually, I transitioned into an education consultant role, where I could combine my love for sports and education. Joining AddedEducation was a perfect fit, as their mission to help students study in the US resonated deeply with me
