Frequently Asked Questions

US Applications: The US system emphasizes the importance of being a ‘well-rounded’ individual. Students need to showcase both academic aptitude and strong extracurriculars. The application process involves submitting a personal statement, SAT/ACT scores, and often includes essays tailored to each university. A lot of times, you also have the flexibility to explore different majors during the first two years before declaring one.

UK Applications: In the UK, the focus is primarily on academic achievements. Through UCAS, you apply to a maximum of five universities with one personal statement centered around your intended major. UK universities expect students to be specialized in a specific subject area from the beginning, without the broad course flexibility seen in the US.
