Passionate about student growth and success, Umang has worked with applicants across the globe, guiding them through both first-year and transfer admissions. Before entering the field of education consulting, he had a brief stint in political consulting, but soon discovered his true passion in mentoring students.

He completed his undergraduate degree at Symbiosis College of Arts & Commerce, Pune, followed by two master’s degrees from the University of Manchester and ESADE Business School. He later earned a PhD in Management from LUISS Guido Carli, Italy, and was a visiting PhD student at Copenhagen Business School in Denmark.

Over the years, Umang has supported students in securing admission to well-regarded universities around the world. His mentees have secured admits to leading U.S. institutions such as the University of Pennsylvania, UCLA, USC, Vanderbilt, NYU Stern, Babson, Boston University, Georgia Tech, UNC Chapel Hill, the University of Michigan, Duke, and Johns Hopkins, as well as to top U.K. universities including Oxford and Imperial College London.

Umang believes in working with empathy and patience, taking the time to understand each student’s goals and strengths. He helps them bring out their true stories and build authentic narratives, making the application process not only strategic but also meaningful and impactful.
